During this session, participants will gain an insight into how character education can be woven in alongside curriculum content. There will be an exploration of how narratives can help to support character education and learning more broadly. Participants will see how Lyfta’s digital immersive stories can help to embed character education into the classroom as well as getting a hands-on experience of using the platform.
Aims
Be able to use a range of Lyfta’s digital immersive stories to deliver character based learning.
Be able to use Lyfta’s digital platform confidently.
Gain access to Lyfta’s digital platform for 4 weeks for free (including 55 digital immersive stories and over 250 curriculum aligned lesson plans)
Audience
School leaders – Head teachers, Deputy head teachers, SLT and Phase Leaders including Primary and Secondary.

Anna Szpakowska
Anna has been working in education for fourteen years, eleven of which were spent as a secondary school English teacher. For much of her career, Anna worked directly with trainee teachers and NQTs as well as leading the professional development of all staff at Passmores Academy in Harlow. Anna now works for Lyfta as their Professional Development Lead. She is passionate about designing interactive teacher education opportunities that help educators to develop their practice. She also has an avid interest in children’s literature and feels strongly about students accessing a wide range of diverse stories.
