Free webinar: Supporting your recovery – Building your resilience

Sharon knows from personal experience the high levels of personal accountability and pressures of school leadership, and that it takes heart, insight and courage to continue to be resilient under challenging and changing demands – often under much public scrutiny.

Through her work in the UK and with international schools, she has identified a number of common, personal and professional challenges emerging for school leaders as a result of the pandemic, which includes; responding to the sheer volume of logistical problems, meeting the expectations of different stakeholder groups and providing practical and emotional support to members of the school community. These have underpinned recent webinars led by Sharon which include; ‘School Culture and Climate – why these are critical elements in determining the success of a school’ and ‘Developing Effective Remote Teacher Professional Learning’.

Sharon also presented at the recent virtual ‘Be Ready for the World’ conference hosted by Cambridge University Press where her session ‘21st Century Teaching’ was attended by over 400 delegates. This session explored different models for understanding 21st-century skills and how this might adapt in the future, touching upon the impact of the pandemic. Through her facilitation, coaching and mentoring of school leaders, Sharon aims to bring clarity, direction, and positive support. She seeks to question existing thinking and promote new behaviours around well-being, to inspire action to improve resilience to help school leaders thrive and sustain in making a positive difference for young people.

Sharon brings her extensive experience from coaching school leaders to this workshop. This will provide a safe and empowering space for school leaders to discover more about themselves, and to encourage a mindset which recognises themselves as a valuable asset in their school.
