NAHT Wellness and Protect is staff absence protection with complementary whole school well-being and leadership support which is exclusive to NAHT members.

NAHT Wellness and Protect offers staff budget protection for staff absences in instances such as:

  • Sickness
  • Accident
  • Maternity
  • Stress and more.

Schools have up to 60 days to report new absences via an online claims submission and management portal with all claims promptly paid on receipt of supporting evidence. Our protection has the financial security of an AA+ rated underwriter.

Schools, academies, and MATs can tailor their staff absence protection with optional maternity, paternity and adoption absences as well as cover for pre-existing conditions, pre-planned operations or provide cover for ongoing absences.

NAHT Wellness and Protect includes complimentary whole school well-being services, designed to provide a range of mental and physical support to staff and pupils as well as our exclusive leadership support package. This support was created to help support school leadership improve the well-being culture within their school community.

For those looking to provide well-being support to staff they have chosen not to insure or those that self-insure, there is the option to purchase an additional well-being only cover option. Well-being only provides a cost-effective way of providing well-being support to your staff from an experienced provider.
